Appreciated for centuries in South America and Southeast Asia, the bark, leaves, root, seeds and fruit have been used to tame heart disease, asthma, liver issues and arthritis. Practitioners of herbal medicine use soursop fruit and graviola tree leaves to treat stomach ailments, fever, parasitic infections, hypertension and rheumatism. It's used as a sedative, as well.

 

Small amount of niacin, riboflavin, folate and iron is also present. Soursop is also rich in antioxidants. Many parts of the fruit are used medicinally including the leaves, fruits and stems. Also it can be used for cooking and can be applied to skin too. The fruit is very high in antioxidants, including vitamin C. It also includes b vitamins, calcium, phosphorous, and iron.
